Attorneys for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) filed a notice of removal on Thursday in the defamation case filed against her and others by 10 Covington Catholic teens. The filing represents an attempt to remove the pending case from the Kenton County Circuit Court in Kentucky to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, Covington Division.

Robert Barnes told Breitbart News on Monday that he and his legal team are suing Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Rep. Deb Haaland (D-NM), Reza Aslan, Matthew Dowd, Kathy Griffin, Maggie Haberman, Ana Navarro, and other news media figures for defamation on behalf of eight students from Covington, KY.

"They did nothing racist. They weren't taunting, harassing anyone," attorney Robert Barnes said on "The Story." "They had no idea that they would have this social media lynch mob led by people like Maggie Haberman, a lead political reporter for The New York Times, or Senator Elizabeth Warren [D-Mass.] ... both of whom refused to delete or correct or retract or issue any apology for their false statements about these kids."

Washington D.C. Attorney Robert Barnes, who offered his services pro bono for the students from Kentucky's Covington Catholic High School after they received social media threats and endured media and celebrity libel and defamation, filed suit today on behalf of 8 students and their families. Defendants include Senator Elizabeth Warren, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, Congresswoman Deb Haaland, CNN commentator Ana Navarro, the editor of Mother Jones, and others.
